What are Eyelash Extensions?

Eyelash extensions are a cosmetic process whereby individual Eyelash Extensions are applied to each lash to create a fuller, longer look (at Simply Beauty & Lashes we have chosen to use a Synthetic blend Eyelash Extension for lashes that are extremely long lasting, soft, flexible and glossy). They come in various lengths and thicknesses, and can be warn during sleep, showering and swimming. Eyelash extensions differ from “fake” or “false” eyelashes in that they are grafted one by one, and can last for four to six weeks.

How long does the Eyelash Extension Procedure take?

The Eyelash Extension procedure will take anywhere between 1-2hrs depending on how many eyelashes are being applied. Each eyelash extension is applied to the clients individual lash, therefore it is a procedure that requires delicate application with a patient technician, this process should never be rushed.

How long do Eyelash Extensions last?

Natural eyelashes grow in and fall out in cycles (every 60 to 90 days). Therefore depending on the life cycle of your natural lashes and at which stage of your cycle the eyelash extensions are applied and other factors, professional eyelash extensions should last between four to six weeks.However in saying that to maintain your glamourous look that you achieve with a full set of eyelash extensions, it is recommended that you get touch ups (refills) every 3 weeks or so.

Before your appointment:

Before you arrive at Simply Beauty & Lashes for your Eyelash Extensions you will need to:

-Remove any eye makeup and mascara.
-If your eyelashes are very fair they may require an Eyelash Tint, which can be done at Simply Beauty & Lashes.
-Contact lenses will need to be removed, so please bring your case.
-Eyelashes cannot have been permed or curled for atleast 3months prior to having eyelash extensions applied.
